Have you got your Floaty?
So you have your new jetski and are hitting the waves on the next big swell all ready for a sick tow in session with your mates!!
The time is now before hitting the water to make sure you have the right gear to make sure you and you ski come home safe. One of the most important parts of any towing is having the right rope for the job and it’s something we see all the time on Jetskis is people going out and towing with a normal ski rope which are thin and sit under the water! Why is this a problem? well if the rope is sitting under the water then it becomes hard to see and in a lot of occasions when towing you are turning your jetski under some pressure of waves bearing down on you and if you can not see your rope and then run over it and it’s just a thin normal ski rope then 100% it is going into your impeller and that’s day over and also a good chance it could be the end of your ski if this happens in the wave zone!!
With the PRO floating tow rope it is fully foam-filled extra thick and designed to be seen all the time. The rope floats high on the water so when turning under pressure it can always be seen. The extra thickness also comes into play if for some reason you do somehow run over it then it gives the best chance possible of not going into the impeller due to the size and the foam not allowing it to bend enough to fit through the grates.
The thickness of the PRO floating tow rope is also great for fast get-ups as you can grip the rope from anywhere along the whole rope with enough force to pull you out of the water and is nice to the hands, which allows for fast recovery from the impact zone when the sled might not be an option or the handle is too far away.
The PRO floating tow rope comes in 4 sections. The handle sections and 3 rope sections, all sections can be taken off and on so you can run any length of rope that suits. If you want a shorter rope it’s super easy to take a section of and it can be done in under a minute.
Please remember nothing is ever full proof and if you run over this rope just because you can there are still small chances you could suck it up so where ever possible please practice safe driving and always avoid running over any rope!!
