Featuring a full recessed standing area and you may have thought WHY? well, let me run you through some of the super cool advantages of having this recesses and see if this might be something you need in your life!
Righto, let’s just get straight into this and explain why we at ONE have a range of boards like this.
First up running the recess lowers your center of gravity this, in turn, giving you just that touch more stability in the board. When the real goal of foil boards in one aspect is to be as small as possible, why? well, this makes the foiling side just that much better with all the extra stability you can get the better from where we look.
Secondly, it allows us to distribute the foam in the board more onto the rails and helps us get a better balance for when we are up on the foil.
Thirdly it gives an amazing feel through to the foil as the amount of foam between your foot and the top of the foil is far less than on say a full flat deck board. This feeling is something that is hard to describe but is something that gives you a far better connection to what is happening underneath the board and this is something that is always super important.
So some questions we always get asked are.
1: Are these foil boards light? Easy answer on this with it being YES all the ONE foil boards are super light. We have the two constructions with the Full Carbon/Full PVC molded sandwich being the lightest option and with weights like 5.5kg(approx) for the 5’10 x 27.5 x 107L and still crazy strong we pride ourselves on producing the lightest and strongest boards on the market.
2:What is the difference between the full carbon model and the non Carbon model? The only real difference is weight, both constructions are crazy strong so you can rest assure whatever construction you choose that durability is not compromised at all and they will stand up to all the punishment that foiling can put on a board.
